Samsung Electronics has announced the rescheduling of its plan to launch Samsung Galaxy Note7 in Nigeria.
The Galaxy Note 7 which was scheduled for launch in Nigeria on September 30 was postponed following the September 2, 2016, global announcement of the replacement programme prompted by battery cell manufacturing error which had led to a few reported incidents around the world.
Samsung has called on Nigerian customers to visit any of its authorized service centres for the replacement of the products.
Samsung said: “since customers’ safety is our top priority, all Galaxy Note7 purchased are eligible for replacement despite the original place of purchase.”
While acknowledging the inconvenience this may have caused in the market, the global brand said it was necessary to ensure continuous delivery of quality products to its customers.
